This is an interesting post of curious news. ARE makes HAWT (horizontal axis wind turbines) and Helix makes VAWT (vertical axis wind turbines). I think that since the Vertical turbines that Helix makes don’t produce very well, they are probably buying ARE. Because ARE makes horizontal axis turbines that are a more proven design to take to market. But neither has the patented rooftop mounting that was invented by WindEnergy7. So their ARE and Helix systems will be prone to turbine vibration that will cause noise and structural vibration. Maybe they will buy WindEnergy7 next because without that patented roof mounting technology nobody can compete easily with WindEnergy7 for the home wind turbine market in the US. I think WindEnergy7 has installed base all across the US now and I read has been exporting to other countries already. I think all these small wind turbines are really neat, we are seeing the future of residential energy.
