One bill renamed a post office, and the other was something about cheaper college books or something. I guess David Wu has never heard of craigslist!

The $300 million he received as part of the stimulus bill was stricly bribe earmarks.

If you will notice, David Wu press releases every bill he submits to committee, so he comes off like he is doing something. The problem is, they all just get stagnated in committee. Once the members look at his submitted bills they just laugh at them and shuffle them to the bottom of the pile.

David Wu is an ineffective representative. He is simply a yes man for the liberal machine. He gets a snack every once in awhile for towing the party line. How did we get this kind of representation?

You don’t see states battling for buildings. Oudoing each other on green building standards, yes. But you need companies to occupy those buildings before they get off the ground.

I had not thought about it affecting Oregon’s competitiveness. I suppose applying the national credit to only commercial building development, while continuing to apply Oregon’s BETC to renewable energy projects will still give Oregon a leg up in attracting alternative energy companies.

It’s interesting to me that Wu would propose this nationally considering that the BETC is one of Oregon’s most important competitive advantages. It has worked well for the state, though, and taking it nationally could have a real positive effect.
