Data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Current Population Survey indicates that in 2008 union density in construction industry employment in Oregon was about 12.2 percent, down from about 26.0 percent in 1987.

If BOLI’s survey says that union wages prevail there is something wrong with the survey. They could save the taxpayers of Oregon the cost of the survey and the cost of paying inflated wages by using other readily available data that is more accurate.
