A new light rail (or similiar) down Powell Blvd from Portland to Gresham at a cost of 146 million dollars per mile. This corridor is in the 1st tier of their planning (one of four new corridors). The word needs to get out to citizens to call Metro and tell them no way. After 5 months of the new line to Clackamas, the Clackamas Co sheriff says that crime is up 32%.

This area has been planned by the Tri-Met and Metro Planners sense the building of Max. Now Mary fetch is not taking credit for their planning.

25 years of Tri- met and Metro planning = Rockwood as it sits today

It will do nothing to improve the neighborhood. The real problem with Rockwood is the huge number of cheap multi-family apartments that are home to largely hispanic gangs, drug dealers and ILLEGAL ALIENS. The area is a magnet for crime; and no amount of public money will improve things until such time as the criminal elements and ILLEGALS are
shipped out of the area.

MAX is the reason Fred Meyers is gone and the area has sunk to what it is today.

Light rail is the problem and now Light Rail is going to fix the problem it created. Good luck and at what cost to the taxpayers!
