What a waste as well. It’s not like Portland needs ANOTHER homeless shelter in downtown. It’s crap like this that makes me feel even better about my decision to move out of Portland – as well as the State of Oregon for that matter – for as long as it takes for the political leadership to be removed. You can’t argue with facts; facts that prove that the socialistic, tax, tax, tax and then tax some more-and-spend ideologies that run both the city and the state – ideologies long proven to be abject failures – have driven Oregon deeper into debt and closer to total bankruptcy.

I’m not advocating a complete replacement with only conservative leadership as they, too, have proven to be just as corrupt and mentally unstable as their lefist brethren. Of course, this isn’t all conservatives who are such, just as it’s not all liberals who are hell bent on destroying America. But I am advocating a replacement with leadership that can understand that capitalism, when regulated with COMMON SENSE can, and absolutely does work and it’s been proven time and again in memorium as such.

The uber-leftist, Hugo Chavez-esque Democrat Party refuses to admit as much, thus proving yet again their abject disingenuousness is surpassed ONLY by their mind numbing intellectual dishonesty.

But until that happens, it is my fervent hope that it’s not too late for the rapidly growing number of voters of a more conservative nature to make the necessary changes desperately needed to stave off an unmitigated economic and societal disaster.

Pathetic. Sad. But so very, very true.
