In Portland and now Beaverton – the same small (tiny) group of developers and subcontractors rule urban renewal. One wonders how the Daily Journal missed mentioning that Don Mazziotti of PDC fame is the mastermind behind Beaverton’s urban renewal.

A Perspective

You can build these projects every day of the week but if you don’t have on your resume that the projects weren’t registered with LEED or that you didn’t use the management style CMGC or GCCM then YOU DON’T QUALIFY AT ALL.

WHAT A TOTAL SCAM ON THE TAX PAYER.

Controlling the Market Share has the following Effect = Closed Companies =

Unemployment of 100,000 + = No Tax Dollars = Loans/Grants from the Federal

Government = Higher Taxes to pay for the Loans/Grants = Higher Cost of Living =

Struggling families = High Volume of Poverty = Lower Retail Spending = Less Jobs =

Long term recession = Union = Control of the availability of quantity of workers = Higher

Wages AND High Unemployment to controll the cost/value of labor = High costs for

production = High Cost for end products = MORE POVERTY. UNION CONTROL =

BLACK LISTING INDIVIDUAL WORKERS = UNEMPLOYMENT = CONTROLLING WHO IS EMPLOYED.

They make the big bucks through change orders and rob us subcontractors by refusing to pay our labor and materials costs.

Stevenson Landscape was a low bidder on a public contract and wasn’t selected because the owner is a white male. How’s that for reverse discrimination?

Have to wonder what the deep connection is between these city board members and the contractors. It seems that they only hire the same contractors. We’ve lost so many construction companies in Oregon and there seems to be a link between them not being hired for these projects and the closure of their company. I showed up at some of these city council meetings and the council didn’t care about the residents of the city. They just sat there listening to testimony and ultimately made their decisions the way they intended to in the first place. I don’t feel that our elected officials are there because they want to help us. I think they want those positions so that they can take advantage of us. I don’t even feel like voting anymore because of this. Unemployment is way up in the metro area but somehow those companies that are getting these contracts are doing 100 times better than the rest. It’s very sad to live in a reckless State.

More tax payer shackles coming.

Tax payers are going receive another Bond sale request and real estate taxes will go up again to “support Hoffman Construction company”.

Tax payers will be lucky if they even get to vote on the Bond measure.

I don’t want to hear about how the economy is improving when we are only handing money over to the same large contractors that have been receiving non-compete contracts year after year.

This is such a scam on the tax payer.
