What about the Wilsonville area. There are huge parcels next to I-5 and close to I-5..
Wilsonville has great Freeway access to Portland(15 min) , Salem (20 min), I-205(30 min airport) and 217)beaverton 20 min). They also have bus transportation and WES(train).
Wonderful family area, great schools, Villebois(National award winning development),
and close to the wine country and all that rural/farming has to offer.

Best of both worlds.

Why is there no mention of the Johnson Creek Industrial area/corridor? There is a prime industrial parcel there that needs to be redeveloped, along with huge tracts of wrecking yard brownfield that could be converted to a better industrial use.

Also – the jobs housing balance should be a key driver in where new industrial land is sited. Putting more jobs in Hillsboro and the far reaches of Washington County creates an additional housing problem. It’s much more prudent to generate jobs in the areas of East Multnomah County, where you have plenty of housing and room for housing within the urban growth boundary, with the infrastructure already available for new development.
