Building unsustainable street cars lines that cost many times more than a bus line that the users pay less than 20% of the operating cost and none of the capital construction is foolish.

No wonder the city and country is broke.

a bus that changes its route… yeah just what someone wants when theyre waiting for a bus.

One of the reasons buses replaced streetcars back in the 40’s, is they could move or start a new transit line the next day, by moving the buses to the new street. where they were needed.

If a bus breaks down the replacement will be up and running as soon as it gets to the route.

Once they got rid of the tracks it made the transit systeem much more adaptable to changes. Unlike the rail systeem that cannot adapt without hundreds of millions of dollars and months of work and business disruptions and or bankruptcies along the line. And when a rail car is stalled, it is a major chore to move it out of the way.
