Comments are funny. The very sad part is…. if this were a regular run of the mill white male, “A Perspective and Anonom” would say nothing.
Sad, sad, sad! Well let me help you “A Perspective and Anonom”. The Colas family has not had one hand out since their company has been established. His company built its reputation early with funding their own projects to prove themselves in the White Male dominated construction industry. This hard work and proven reputation has been embedded in his children who appose to sitting on the sidelines, FIGHT for utilization, fair treatment, and economic equity for the HISTORICALLY underutilized minority contracting community. There are White Men and organizations that understand this disparity and instead of “hear no evil, see no evil” like your comments suggest are on the battle fields as well attempting to Right this Wrong that has plagued this community for years.

What have your so Qualified past Commissioners done to make strides to resolve this? Answer: You guys could care less! Aneshka does… we need young minority leadership that has this perspective on the PDC Commission.

A Perspective…that is exactly what I was thinking. This has to be a huge conflict of interest in her appointment to PDC.

Ingratiating fluff piece. What happened to journalism? There are hundreds of question more pertinent than the ones asked. Then it was topped off with: “You obviously dress well. Can you compete with Commissioner (Steven) Straus and his bowties (sic)?” Oh please!

One might surmise that she or her firm has some connection to someone on the Daily Journal. I wonder too whether the same questions would have been asked of her father? She is 33 years old.

Questions that begged to be asked would have revolve around her knowledge of urban renewal and the role of the commission. Not one. Her qualifications? Anybody with an accounting degree? Frankly, from your article her qualifications pale in comparison to present and past board members, except Commissioner Straus.

Then there is the Grant Warehouse project. Isn’t her firm receiving public money from PDC? Isn’t there some conflict of interest? How did you know we would read Ryan Frank’s article in the Oregonian?

Sorry, normally great stuff – missed the mark on this one, not even close.
