Moreover, the Energy Trust of Oregon and many utilities are carrying through with energy efficiency measures, which still appear economical even with the low price of market energy currently and for the forseeable future. I’d say save the $300 million dollars and use it to help meet the state’s budget gap. Also, eliminate the Portland (milwuakee) light rail boondoggle project, and in a blink of an eye (with BETC and the light rail boondoggle eliminated) you’ve closed the state’s budget gap by more than a half billion dollars, or about 20%.

It seems like a no brainer but hey the ruling party Democrats allow their greed to block out their brains and logical thought.
