Yay for supporting local designers in a retail store!
Thank goodness we do have actual viable stores doing this in the city year-round, that pay rent monthly, taxes, and insurance on an on-going basis.
I’m so happy to support and showcase lots of designers, even the Project Runway designers like Seth Aaron Henderson and Mila.
Paying rent, city taxes, state taxes, business taxes and federal taxes and insurance sure adds up. Sounds like a sweet deal, with paying for “utility use, but rent nominal.”
Portland Business Alliance, are you handing out more sweet deals?
Hope the artists and designers don’t have to pay too much or spend to much time selling to be involved in the Pop-Up store.
