There is no need for such a rush, and there’s no need to eliminate public comment, but they are just trying to make things more convenient.

It’s obvious Helvetia is an area populated by high end, well to do folks; and so, can’t believe Washington county commissioners should think this would fly.

But what government morass. There’s thousands upon thousands of idle, under used captive farmland available for development and enterprise in Washington county. The Portland Metro area needs to reset towards more economic prosperity and ease environmental and land use restrictions. I should think you could get farmers willing to sell their land for development and give a certain allocation to greenways so some open spaces are preserved on the outer stretches of like Hillsboro while development is allowed layered into between these open spaces. Unfortunately, there is so much bureaucracy and law to fight through to make this move civil solution to occur.
