The Place was often packed with group picnics and the swimming area was always packed back then.

The last time I checked ( many years ago) to use the park for a picnic for a group, it would have cost us a small fortune, on top of the parking fee, beer fee, sound systeem fee, and they wanted a cut of the BBQ cost from the BBQ company. I believe they wanted a extra $2 dollars a head for the food for a private group. They also wanted us to hire a rent a cop.

It would have cost a small fortune for a picnic, we called it off at Blue Lake, very fast.

Now they want to build a disc golf course and not charge for it?
