I love this idea! Its design and tenant use promotes trains (and, just as importantly, train nostalgia but in a modern context), bicycle use and facilities, and shared office space similar to that found in Kevin Cavenaugh’s innovative Tenpod (www.tenpod.org) shared office suites.

Let’s make this happen!! Let’s bring some urban vibrancy to downtown Milwaukie for once.

its possible to look forward without sheeting everything in glass and steel which, by the way, is getting very tiring and boring. its good for architects in this town to think outside the glass box for once.

Why not look forward instead of back? Recreating the past is safe, like comfort food, it tastes great but makes you sleepy. Buildings can be both fresh and informed by tradition.
