What is with the above two ultra-conservative, grammatically atrocious responses? Plus, it doesn’t help society when we are park-deprived. Few people can afford a back yard these days, and having urban park space enables people of all backgrounds to be outside, exercise, play, and get to know each other.

Not everyone wants the boring suburban lifestyle in which everyone drives directly into their garages, turns on the TV, plops on the couch, and never, ever gets to know any of their neighbors. It’s time to rediscover the whole world out there beyond your private little enclaves.

Enough is enough. Nick Fish raised the Parks SDC by 100% last year…now that he’s figured out that that’s put the breaks on building…he’s got to raid coffers somewhere else…..

The City of Portland needs new leadership. Now.

Just let us have backyards instead of density housing. A great and safe place for kids to play and requires no overly expensive bond measure.
No more adoption of the UN measures for city planning. Stack and rack-um who cares about long term livability as long as Portland gets the perception of an increased tax base.
My self I put our urban renewal the same as the projects experiment on the East Coast. Now they are a blight and a pox on the neighborhoods.
Who is going to police this 3 acre park. Is it going to be another crack users evening paradise with needles in the bushes and prophylactics freely scattered throughout.
