Responsible for managing DeConstruction Services, a division of The Rebuilding Center, the nation’s largest non-profit reuse center for salvaged construction and remodeling materials. A specialty contractor licensed in both Oregon and Washington, we hand dismantle residential and commercial structures to maximize material recovery, diverting up to 85% of the building’s components from the C & D waste stream. Our client base includes municipalities and governmental agencies, developers, general contractors, remodelers, and individual homeowners. Recent projects include work for Clark County, Portland State University, the Dougy Center, the Concordia University expansion, and the Daybreak Cohousing Community.

General Manager and Director of Land Acquisitions 04/04 – 11/06
General Manager of Garrette Custom Homes (GCH), the semi-custom affiliate of Pacific
Lifestyle Homes, Vancouver, WA, specializing in building homes in rural settings throughout SW Washington and the Portland Metro area, while maintaining the production methodology and quality control of PLH. My duties and accomplishments included:
· Managing the efforts of multiple departments responsible for entitlements, permitting, land development, vertical construction, sales, marketing, and customer service
· Delivered 2.5 times the number of homes in 2005 compared with 2004
· Tripled 2004 revenues in fiscal 2005
· Raised margins from 23% in 2004 to 30% in 2005
· Developed a pipeline of 50+ properties to maintain our 2006 goals
· Optioned an additional 40 parcels to the land holding inventory awaiting entitlements

Construction Manager 10/00 – 09/03
CM of Kimco Investments of Atlanta, GA, a firm specializing in Urban Redevelopment
within historic, in-town neighborhoods. Significant accomplishments were as follows:
· Identified, conducted feasibility studies, purchased, site planned, entitled, subdivided, and platted properties yielding inner city lots for new home construction.
· Purchased, renovated, and resold homes (circa 1910-1930s) throughout the city in the
$300-$500,000 price range. Homes were authentically restored in their vernacular styles.
· Designed the concept plan and developed the working model for “Fern Crest Farms”,
a 35-unit, mixed use housing community with amenities, clubhouse, pools, trails, and a
CSA farm to be built as part of an established 27-acre horse ranch in Southeast Atlanta.

Vice President of Construction 09/93 – 10/00
In my capacity as Vice President, Project and Purchasing Manager for Casey Construction of Fort Myers, FL, I was responsible for managing and overseeing project contractors and consultants; prepared cost estimates and budgets for all projects; negotiated contract, consultant, and project management fees; monitored the design, bid, and construction process; developed and monitored project schedules; analyzed and approved change orders; represented the company at public presentations in response to RFP submissions; coordinated information flow as the company liaison between Owners, architects, engineers, consultants, regulatory agencies, municipalities, and field staff.
