Originally, Tri-Met had a system, just like on the bus, where you rang a bell when you wanted to stop instead of stopping at every single stop like it does now when no one is there or no one wants to get off the train.

I think Tri-Met MAX service would be greatly improved if they increased the number of stops on already existing lines and reduced the number of stops they make to only what is necessary.
