I disagree that we have hit the basement. Construction jobs only added 2% of the total growth, and most of that was driven by heavy highway & civil. Those increases are driven by stimulus money and seasonal highway work. The continued losses in non-residential & residential construction tell a more complete tale: 2011 will be another tough year for contractors. And, crowing about a gain of 5,000 jobs (100 per state) is not being realistic, hard as that may be to swallow.
