Large corporations benefit from our society having a well educated, and highly trained workforce, but without their financial cooperation, and additional active participation, we cannot envision the future educational system, that we as a society, have determined to be part of our learning values. I have spoken with several prominent political leaders, whose opinion I respect, and trust. They tell me the same thing, over & over again: that corporate lobbyists have us beat, and will not give an inch. Yet, it is due to government intervention, that these same corporations are now enjoying the profitable fruits of their labor (including creating more jobs), on the crumbling backs of old & outdated school buildings, to the learning detriment of our future workforce (students). Where, then, is the competent, and able CEO, that is not afraid to question his peers, and who is in a position, to challenge his counterparts, to think beyond charitable foundations, fundraisers, and donation drives? This is an on-going conversation, that Big Business is having, and I applaud those who have not already stepped forward, to insist on being a part of this important conversation (and to report back to the People, on their findings, and where our grassroots movements can assist).
