WOW, funny how events can get legs! LOL. I’m almost certain the conference referenced is one being planned by representatives in the local NAWIC chapter for early 2012. I shared NAWICs proposal for a conference at a meeting with women leaders from different groups in the building industry to test the support. The meeting was dynamic, exciting and inclusive. There was a great deal of support for an event like this. NAWIC is interested in including all Women in Construction in the area at this conference. More to come as the details get ironed out.

The Oregon Tradeswomen leadership institute that is planned for September was also presented and discussed at this meeting.
