I am both a local business owner and home owner (on the lake). The majority of people opposing the street car do not travel for work and will probably be deceased before its completion anyhow. We should be looking forward to growth not hindering it. This is a tragic for our city as we will not be competitive with other great cities on so many levels in the future, and we really should take advantage of the federal grants while we still can. Only in our culture do we play Chinese firedrill with SUVs at 8am and 5pm M-F.

The amount of growth that LO can expect to gain from this is a necessity in this economy for survival. Congratulations Councilor Tierney: You’ve just lost the city a bunch of revenue. Explain that to the constituency.
