Once again big money calls the shots at City Hall. Just because it’s profitable doesn’t mean that it’s the best for the neighborhood. Just because you can, doesn’t mean that you should.
I’ve lived in the Historic Mississippi neighborhood for over 20 years. We keep getting large developments shoved down our throats that look awful and out of place. They are impacting the quality of life here in a negative way.
I’m betting that Brian O has a financial stake in this project. or others like it.

The existing building has been so modified it has become functionally obsolete. Our zoning requires denser development. This project is consistent with densification.

Those that want something different should buy the property and development to their vision.
