Rediculous to think no one in the complex will have a car. The fact is that developers don’t want to pay for parking to be added and residents have to deal with the added cars along the streets because of builder greed. Tiring. My backyard now has a 35 foot duplex. How frustrating.

My husband and I work at home and one of us is almost always here. No one I know on the street has known anything about this. We have all been so busy tracking what is going on on Williams. Five new buildings there, most, if not all, going up this summer. And now this. It is going to be a mad house. And parking will invariably be an issue. Interesting that the city gave us an intense amount of grief and almost stopped the building of our house in 2007 because we didn’t have ‘enough’ STREET parking. The required garage and one off street (driveway) space were not enough. Now a 33 unit apartment building with NO parking. Really? At any rate it was just a matter of time before something went up. I am glad there will be a lot of bike parking spaces and that it’ll be ‘green’ (whatever that means).

We were really concerned when it didn’t have parking. One year later we are totally happy with the apartment building. Only a couple of the tenants have cars and the building looks awesome. Just make sure those guys put in at least 20 bike spots and make sure they are covered bike spots!

I am frankly apauled that there is no off street parking as you cant force a tenant to not have a car. We are moving closer to a Mississipi style area where the businesses are stripping us of all street parking not to mention the hulking complex that is going in down the corner on Williams not having enough to have all of its tenants off street. Please get a clue, the building looks nice and I would like to have it there but make parking available. This type of project was planned here before after it stopped being a garden and we stopped it then. Please listen to the neighborhood. PS, good luck with the crack heads and prostitutes still on that corner.
