From the picture this looks a little too sleek, maybe the “shaped by light” premise will look better in person.

I think this small firm has a lot of potential and I’m glad they got the commission rather than the same old GBD or Akrom Moison types. However, with so many surface lots in Old Town, do we really have to take down a historic building to make this happen? Why not use the half block surface lot located across the street on Couch and Park?

Yes, it used to be a post office, but most people reading this are probably thinking of the current post office at 721 NW 9th Ave, whose future uses are uncertain.

Anyway, this project really does sound wonderful, and the North Park Blocks could really badly use a catalytic, highly artistic project like this! It really does tie together so many complementary uses in the area, and it will give the district much-needed energy, creativity and (educated and enthusiastic) youth.
