It is an integrated approach and there is accountability since there is a single point of responsibility. It also provides value to project owners since they do not have to screen for sub-contractors and it is easier when it comes to meeting schedules, costs and maintaining consistency in building and design quality. It also opens the door for other professionals to lead in the project, since a design-build project can be undertaken by a contractor, a designer or a developer.

I remember this one time my friend used such a company once. The door literally fell off! Of course it was just an oversight because everything else was as it should be but it did leave an impression.
