I hope it is a very sunny area. And elevation really helps in PV production. Higher elevations actually have more watts per square meter than at 3,000′ lower elevation – measured on the same day, about 1 hour apart. The improvement of 3,000′ elevation changes the value from 1080 at 3,800′ elevation to 1040 at 750′ elevation only 40 miles away – as measured in San Diego and Boluvard CA.

Cocentrating PV, such as Soitec might also work much better with the limited winter sunlight. The long summer days should help off-set the short winter production.
