Low hanging fruit is always easier to pick. Green Globes was created by industry to support industry, LEED was created to effect change. The question then becomes do you want to build change or is status quo ok?

I am glad to see that there are viable alternatives to LEED. It allows contractors like myself and customers to have a choice. The fact that the market can sustain more energy efficient rating systems is a great indication of the future of buildings and construction overall. For me that makes all the difference.

I am glad to see that there are viable alternatives to LEED ratings. For me the more the better, it means contractors like myself and clients have more incentives to go energy efficient. It means the market has enough clients to warrant more rating systems, which ultimately results in greater projects going the energy efficient route. And that’s what makes all the difference.
