I live in the neighborhood and was involved in setting up the committee that worked on this. It included, reps from the neighborhood, Port of Portland, Toyota and Union Pacific. The Port funded the study that determined what was needed for the zone to get approval from the Federal Railroad Administration and how much it would cost. The Port applied for a grant for federal Transportation funding, but it was not approved. However, all that material is available for the developers to pick up on. It’s hard to envision all those people living along the railroad tracks with conditions as they exist. And that’s not even getting into the nightly loading of railcars at Toyota, with the resultant back-and-forth crashing of nearly a mile-long string of rail cars.

Keep production jobs within this area. This will only crowd the neighborhood more so. If so this 80,000 Sq Ft should have enough on premise parking. This is just a bad idea altogether.
