Bob St. Aubin Stadium, a former Little League ballpark in East Portland, has likely seen its final at-bat as a baseball diamond.

A Request for Response has been sent by the Bureau of Development Services to neighborhood groups as developers prepare plans to subdivide the site into 32 lots for construction of attached single-family homes. The lots would range in size from 1,600 to 2,909 square feet, while a new north-south public street, Northeast 134th Place, would be constructed to provide access to those lots from East Burnside Street.

A land use application was filed with the on June 29 and it was deemed complete on Aug. 8. The project name is called Hart’s Crossing, according to preliminary site plans supplied to the city by of Lake Oswego.

The applicant is Portland firm , which filed the project proposal on behalf of the property owner, Parkside Little League Inc.

The site fronts East Burnside Street between Northeast 133rd and 136th avenues. To develop the site as proposed, new sanitary sewer and water utilities would need to be built. Stormwater management would be handled through the use of individual dry wells on each lot.

Public comments on the proposed development will be received by the BDS through Sept. 7.
