The partnership between (SEI) and (CDP) has resulted in transformative projects that provide and essential services to underserved communities in Portland. By combining SEI’s expertise in youth development and community support with CDP’s experience in real estate development, the collaboration has created sustainable, mixed-use developments that promote long-term success for residents.

A key initiative is , which revitalizes historically Black neighborhoods in North and Northeast Portland. Within this initiative, the Ronnie Herndon Building and the Paul and Geneva Knauls Building provide affordable housing for low-income families and veterans. Another major project, the , is a four-story, 75-unit building set to open in 2026, honoring a longtime North Portland family while addressing critical housing needs.

Additional efforts include The , offering 63 affordable housing units with on-site services to support displaced residents. The project reflects SEI and CDP’s shared commitment to , ensuring that development goes beyond housing to create thriving communities with access to vital resources, economic opportunities, and lasting stability for residents.
