The North Clackamas School District is looking for a general contractor to finish construction of a new transportation and maintenance facility.

The district has relocated its facility from Alder Creek Middle School in Milwaukie to 15628 S.E. 102nd Ave. in Clackamas, so that the entire fleet of vehicles can be housed in one location.

The first phase of construction produced a new single-story office building. Now, money from a 2016 capital bond measure is continuing to pay for improvements.

The second phase of the project, designed by BBL Architects, involves an addition to an existing building on site. Work will include demolition of existing hardscapes, excavation for and construction of new concrete footings, wood framing, exterior siding, elevator supply and installation, interior finishes and roofing.

Bids for the project are due by 2 p.m. on March 7. Construction is set to start June 25.

General contractor Robinson Construction is seeking bids from subcontractors for all scopes of work involved with a new two-story, 41,000-square-foot building for the Hillsboro School District.

The transportation and support services facility will be located on Northwest Jacobson Road, slightly north of Liberty High School. The ground floor will hold six bus maintenance bays, shops for both maintenance and carpentry, driver-related facilities, and staff meeting rooms. The second floor will hold office space as well as educational space for the new diesel mechanic CTE (career and technical education) program.

Construction is scheduled to begin by June 2019, and finish in September 2020.

BBL Architects designed the project. Cornerstone Management Group is the owner’s representative; Rick Cunningham is the project manager. The project, which has a tentative budget of $18.3 million, is being paid for with money from a $408 million bond approved by voters in 2017.

General contractor Bremik Construction is seeking bids from subcontractors for a number of scopes of work related to the Hollydale Elementary School classroom addition project in Gresham.

The project includes an addition containing six classrooms as well as interior and exterior renovations and associated site work. For the current phase of work, roofing-related trades will not be included.

Scopes included are: surveying; selective structure demolition; erosion and sediment control; cast-in-place concrete, supply and installation of reinforcing steel; polished concrete; brick veneer; structural and miscellaneous steel; aluminum ladders; rough carpentry; casework, countertops and paneling; vapor retarder; insulation; weather barrier; unit skylights, metal-framed skylights; caulking; expansion control; doors, frames and hardware; storefront and glazing assemblies; access doors; metal stud framing; temporary heating; ceramic tile; resinous flooring; resilient base and carpeting; painting and sealants; marker boards and tack boards; interior signage; compartments and cubicles; toilet accessories; fire extinguishers and cabinets; bicycle shelters; kitchen equipment and supply; roller window shades; fire sprinklers; plumbing; HVAC; electrical and low voltage; site demolition, earth work and utilities; asphalt paving; site striping; chain-link fences and gates; site concrete, curbs and gutters; landscape and irrigation; progressive general construction clean up and site services.

A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 at the project site, at 505 S.W. Birdsdale Drive in Gresham.

BBL Architects designed the project, which is being paid for with money from a $291 million Gresham-Barlow School District bond approved by voters in 2016.

Construction is tentatively set to begin April 22, and be substantially completed by Dec. 13.

Bremik Construction is seeking subcontractors to carry out roofing and sheet metal work for classroom additions at both Hall and Hollydale elementary schools in Gresham.

The overall scope for each project includes the building addition, interior and exterior renovations to existing space and associated sitework. Bidding is open only for roofing-related work at this time, but complete project plans are available for subcontractors interested in bidding on other project portions at a later date.

The Gresham-Barlow School District is paying for these two projects via money from a $291 million bond approved by voters in 2016. Bond money also will pay for construction of two new elementary schools as well as extensive additions and renovations at Gresham and Sam Barlow high schools.

BBL Architects is designing the roofing scope of work for both the Hall and Hollydale projects. Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2019 and finish by August 2019. All bids are due by 2 p.m. on Dec. 18; they can be submitted via email to: bids@bremik.com.

Work is wrapping up on TMF14, a $9 million transportation and maintenance facility for Oregon City School District. P&C Construction is service as the construction manager/general contractor on the yearlong project, a 30,000-square-foot tilt-up concrete and structural steel building. The facility includes a multiple-bay garage for servicing the district’s fleet of school buses, administrative offices, a driver’s lounge and dispatch area, and maintenance shop. BBL Architects is the project’s designer, and Day CPM served as the owner’s representative.
