IDM Apartments, a limited liability company in Vancouver, Washington, recently purchased a 16.89-acre site in West Salem from Cottonwood Development LLC for $3.32 million, according to a news release from CBRE Capital Markets. The housing developer has plans to build on the property.

“IDM is excited to expand our portfolio in Oregon south, past our current project in Canby,” IDM Apartments LLC representative Jason Larson stated. “West Salem is a premier destination with proximity to downtown Salem, with great access to extraordinary schools and neighborhood amenities. We look forward to building a new community and being a part of the neighborhood.”

The site is located along Linwood Street Northwest and Orchards Heights Road Northwest. The RM-II zoning allows for single-family and multifamily development.

“We were pleased to find a buyer for this parcel who takes pride in producing quality rental housing,” stated Don Paul, a representative of Cottonwood Development LLC.

Graham Taylor and Nick Santangelo of CBRE’s Portland office represented the seller and negotiated the transaction.
