Eugenia Fama-Higgins, senior associate at Scott Edwards Architecture, has spent 17 years advancing inclusive design practices in the Pacific Northwest. An immigrant architect who began her U.S. career in Portland in 2010, Fama-Higgins served as lead designer and project manager for the Nueva Esperanza affordable housing development, coordinating virtual client engagement and community focus groups during the pandemic. The project earned recognition as a 2025 91视频 Top Project and Housing Oregon Golden Hammer Award winner.

At Scott Edwards Architecture, Fama-Higgins leads the Multi-Family Think Tank, where she promotes innovation and best practices in residential design. She initiated the firm鈥檚 post-occupancy survey program and serves on the Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion committee. She founded an internal Minority Architects affinity group supporting underrepresented staff members.

Fama-Higgins serves as board member of NOMA鈥檚 (National Organization of Minority Architects) Portland chapter and co-chairs its Education & Professional Development Committee. She volunteers with the Architecture Foundation of Oregon鈥檚 Architects in Schools program, bringing design education to elementary students.
