Murray Jenkins, president and CEO of Ankrom Moisan, has spent 28 years advancing sustainable design and shaping building standards across the West Coast, including nearly 26 with his current firm. Early in his career, he led the design of Luma in Los Angeles, one of California鈥檚 first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold-rated projects. The development helped inspire Los Angeles鈥 green building ordinance, which evolved into California鈥檚 statewide CalGreen code.

In Portland, Jenkins worked on 38 Davis, a mass-timber project that became among the nation鈥檚 first to earn LEED v4 certification. He led the design of Wynne Watts Commons in Gresham, Ankrom Moisan鈥檚 first net-zero energy building, delivering affordable housing with advanced environmental performance.

Jenkins is a founding committee member of the Urban Land Institute and helped bring to Portland the institute鈥檚 UrbanPlan program, in which students learn about urban development. He also helped establish the ELEVATE conference, a ULI initiative convening leaders across real estate, design, policy, arts and community organizations to explore possibilities for the area.
