Mike Salsgiver serves as CEO of the Associated General Contractors’ Oregon-Columbia chapter. For nearly 18 years he has led the organization’s efforts to support the construction industry throughout the region. His 42-year career of government and public relations experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors includes nearly a decade of work in the United States Senate. He worked with former U.S. Sen. Mark O. Hatfield, serving in senior staff positions to help address critical issues facing Oregon.

Salsgiver has held leadership positions with numerous prominent organizations, including his local school board, the American Electronics Association, the Portland Metro Chamber, the Oregon Business Council, and Oregon Business and Industry.

Throughout his career, Salsgiver has embraced a servant leadership philosophy, focusing on recruiting talented teams, helping them develop objectives, providing necessary resources and direction, and supporting their success. His work across public and private sectors has centered on building stronger communities where Oregon citizens can thrive.
