Cordell Tietz, president of Charter Mechanical Contractors, has spent 34 years building a distinguished career in mechanical contracting. In 2006, he co-founded Charter Mechanical Contractors, helping transform the startup into one of Oregon鈥檚 largest mechanical contracting firms with operations spanning Oregon, Washington and Arizona.

Tietz explained the company鈥檚 foundation rests on a fundamental principle: 鈥淚f we take care of our people and our customers, we (will) be successful.鈥 Under his leadership, Charter has validated this approach through sustained growth and industry recognition.

His leadership philosophy centers on empowering Charter鈥檚 management team. 鈥淢y job is to maintain the company culture and make sure that they have the information, resources, and support that they need to be successful,鈥 Tietz said.

Tietz serves on multiple industry boards, including the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association, Mechanical Contractors Association of America, United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters International Training Fund, United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 290 Trust Funds, and Oregon State University Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Industry Advisory Board.
