Kaitlin Schauer is a construction safety professional at Bremik Construction, where she has worked for five years transforming safety culture within the industry. As a graduate of Central Washington University鈥檚 Construction Management program, Schauer has focused her career on demonstrating how safety practices improve efficiency and quality on construction sites.

Schauer explained that her greatest accomplishment has been the consistent impact on safety culture, helping shift the industry mindset from viewing safety as an obstacle to recognizing it as essential. She noted that seeing crews take ownership of their safety and look out for each other is incredibly rewarding. Through her work on housing, medical facilities, schools and universities, Schauer has contributed to projects that serve communities for generations.

Her leadership philosophy centers on empowerment and education, equipping workers with knowledge and tools while listening to their concerns. Schauer regularly engages with Central Washington University鈥檚 Construction Management program through guest speaking, internships and career fairs, helping inspire future construction and safety leaders.
