Adam Tyler, principal at Killian Pacific, has spent 20 years building a reputation for delivering sustainable, community-focused real estate projects across the Pacific Northwest. He transitioned from architecture to development early in his career under the mentorship of the Killian family, eventually leading the firm’s approach to placemaking that balances business performance with environmental and social impact.

Under his leadership, Killian Pacific has completed notable projects including Electric Blocks, a sustainable office campus in Portland’s Central Eastside featuring a partnership with Portland Street Art Alliance; Ninebark Apartments in Washougal, Washington, with 10 percent affordable housing and a conservation contribution preserving 150,000 acres of old growth forest; and Jackstraw in Bend, the city’s first LEED platinum multifamily development incorporating innovative in-home child care units.

Tyler serves on the Portland State University Center for Real Estate Advisory Board and the Urban Land Institute Urban Product Council. His leadership philosophy emphasizes empowering teams, fostering accountability, and integrating purpose-driven solutions into development work.
