Jill Sherman leads Edlen & Co.鈥檚 public-private partnerships and build-to-suit projects for nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Her projects at Edlen & Co., and previously at Gerding Edlen Development, include affordable housing, community facilities, student housing, academic buildings and mixed-use retail. Her resume includes more than 15 LEED-rated projects, of which five are platinum.

Her expertise also includes integrating non-conventional sources of financing, including low-income housing tax credits, new market tax credits, historic tax credits, tax-exempt bonds and urban renewal funds.

Sherman holds a master鈥檚 in urban studies from Portland State University as well as bachelor鈥檚 degrees in psychology and economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

She served on Portland鈥檚 Planning and Sustainability Commission and as chair of ULI Northwest in Portland. Sherman currently serves on the boards of New Buildings Institute, Architectural Foundation of Oregon, Earth Advantage, Volunteers of America and the PSU Center for Real Estate.
