Sheldon Kimber has been a builder, leader and innovator in energy and infrastructure throughout his career. His leadership, experience and understanding of energy and financial markets have been a key part of building multiple startups into some of the largest companies in their respective industries.

Under Kimber, Intersect has developed and built and now operates more than $4 billion of electric generation and energy storage assets. Currently, the company is constructing $9 billion of additional energy and digital infrastructure that will be online by the end of 2027.

Before founding Intersect, Kimber served as chief operating officer of Recurrent Energy, helping to build the company from an early-stage startup to a market leadership position in North America. During his tenure, Recurrent successfully developed more than two gigawatts of electric generation across the U.S. and Canada.

Kimber is an active member of several nonprofit boards and an angel investor and advisor within the clean energy sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
