As national director for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Oregon, Karen Tatman represents the approximately 3,700 employees and 120 consulting engineering and surveying firms they work for in Oregon and Southwest Washington at national ACEC meetings.

With nearly four decades of experience in transportation design and project management, Tatman has been responsible for more than $500 million in highway improvement projects in the study, design and construction phases of project development.

She also has served as a mentor to hundreds of people, especially young people, through her work with Consor and her involvement with ACEC Oregon over the past two decades. Prior to being named national director, she was the second woman president of ACEC Oregon鈥檚 board.

Tatman鈥檚 colleagues have praised her for going above and beyond with every assignment and describe her as a powerhouse who deserves recognition for her significant contributions to Consor, its clients and communities across the Pacific Northwest.
