Craig R. Cheek has spent more than 35 years building a distinguished career in the sports industry. As a senior leader at Nike, Cheek led the U.S. Footwear division to unprecedented growth; his team generated over $1 billion in new revenue during a 36-month period when industry analysts believed the company鈥檚 market share had peaked. Under his leadership, seven members of his direct team earned promotions to vice president based on their breakthrough results.
Currently, Cheek serves as president of the Portland Diamond Project, continuing his work in professional sports. Throughout his career, he has maintained a leadership philosophy centered on influence rather than title, emphasizing servant leadership and continuous learning. 鈥淟eadership influence is earned through consistent actions, building trust, and inspiring others,鈥 Cheek explained.
He has served on multiple boards over the years, focusing on youth development and support of underserved communities. Cheek and his wife actively support faith-based nonprofits working locally and internationally.
