Timothy S. Mitchell, president of Norris & Stevens for nearly 16 years, has guided the nearly 60-year-old, privately held company through its transition from second to third-generation ownership. Under his leadership, the firm expanded its brokerage revenues by diversifying geographic reach and property types. He has spent 38 years in the commercial real estate industry.

Mitchell serves as chairman of the board for TCN Worldwide, an international real estate affiliation, elected to the position by his peers. His professional involvement includes membership in the Commercial Association of Brokers and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Previously, Mitchell served on the boards of the University of Utah Ivory Boyer Real Estate Center and Portland State University鈥檚 MRED Program Board. A former college football player, Mitchell explained that his leadership philosophy centers on perseverance and mental toughness. 鈥淣ever give up, no matter how difficult the situation is,鈥� he said, noting the career provides an opportunity to compete at the industry鈥檚 highest level.
