BnK Construction is putting the finishing touches on a tenant improvement for a dental office on a shell space in Jantzen Beach. The 8-week build-out of the 2,876-square-foot space includes installing 10 examination rooms, an x-ray room, laboratory, reception areas, and restrooms. The practice is one of eight in the greater Portland area the contractor has built for California-based owner Pacific Dental Services. Design work on the project was done by the owner’s in-house architects.

LMC Construction is finishing up a 9-month renovation to the Parklane Apartments, a 260-unit garden apartment complex in Vancouver, Wash. The buildings were updated with new roofs, windows, siding, sliding doors, exhaust fans, gutters, and downspouts. Various improvements were made to individual units including new flooring, cabinets, and ranges. A new deck was poured around the swimming pool, and the tennis court was resurfaced. Additionally, the community center was fully remodeled with new floors, finishes, a kitchenette, new locker rooms and updated gym facilities. The project’s architect is MWA Architects.

Market Contractors is finishing up a tenant improvement to a shell space in a new building on North Mississippi Avenue for Trailhead Credit Union. Work on the build-out began in November, and includes the framing of walls, two open offices and a teller counter, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Reclaimed wood was used throughout the space, which also features a chalkboard community calendar with a rolling library ladder. The space was designed by Mari Simonsen (CQ) at Market Contractors.

Todd Hess Building Company is performing an exterior renovation on a Beaverton shopping center located on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road. Major work on the project began in mid-December with the removal of old awnings and facades.Ìý Structural elements are being reinforced to support new steel canopies, and fiber cement siding will be installed. The project was designed by Fluent Designs, and was engineered by Nordling Structural Engineers.

Norwest Contractors is wrapping up a renovation on a West Linn retail space for Active Edge Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, which is expanding its business to include a 24-hour gym. The business is relocating from a 2,200-square-foot space to the 7,400-square-foot expanded space, which includes open workout space, physical therapy and treatment rooms, and offices for a nutritionist and counselor. The project’s architect is Daryl Sieker Architect LLC, with interior design handled by Linda Luberto and Associates LLC.

Roundhouse Design/Build LLC is finishing a tenant improvement on Maurice, a new pastry luncheonette at 921 S.W. Oak St. in Portland. Work on the 580-square-foot project began in October, and includes new plumbing and electrical systems, cutting of part of the concrete floor and pouring new slab for the installation of a grease trap, construction of a bar, new tile work, and installation of an ADA compliant restroom. Kelmar Industries built the window benches and banquettes, and the project was designed by Patricia Gardner at a57.

Work on the 1,472-square-foot shell space began in late October, and includes installation of a ceiling, partitions, restaurant equipment, and counters. Work on the Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare-owned building in Portland’s Old Town/Chinatown neighborhood includes repair of fire escapes, demolition of walls and installation of new partitions, counters, and lockers in men’s and women’s dormitory rooms. The facility’s kitchen has been expanded and made ADA-accessible, and updated with stainless steel counters, new cabinetry, lighting, and appliances. The remodel was designed by Carleton Hart Architecture.
