Old Town homeless support facility receives upgrades

LMC Construction is wrapping up a five-week renovation on the Royal Palm, a supportive housing facility for homeless men and women with serious mental health issues. Work on the Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare-owned building in Portland’s Old Town/Chinatown neighborhood includes repair of fire escapes, demolition of walls and installation of new partitions, counters, and lockers in men’s and women’s dormitory rooms. The facility’s kitchen has been expanded and made ADA-accessible, and updated with stainless steel counters, new cabinetry, lighting, and appliances. The remodel was designed by Carleton Hart Architecture.
