The Daily Journal of Commerce on Thursday held its first women’s business conference, “A Better Workplace,” at the Sentinel Hotel in downtown Portland. The event featured two keynote addresses, which focused on “tools to improve the work environment for women in the building industries.” Attendees engaged in small group discussions and then networked during a happy hour.
