Thomas Robinson founded LEVER Architecture in Portland in 2009. He has been involved in the industry for 34 years. He leads the firm鈥檚 focus on regenerative design using regionally sourced mass timber and Indigenous partnership engagement.

In 2023, LEVER won the open international competition for the Portland Museum of Art in Portland, Maine. Robinson has directed notable projects including the adidas headquarters and the ongoing Portland State University Schnitzer School of Art + Art History + Design in the North Park Blocks. His decade-long commitment to sustainable sourcing in design began with LEVER鈥檚 own North Portland office and has since expanded across multiple institutional and commercial projects.

鈥淵ou need to be extremely tenacious in a kind and patient way to deliver excellence in architecture,鈥 he said.

Robinson serves on the Oregon State University School of Forestry Advisory Panel and is active in the American Institute of Architects, the Architecture Foundation of Oregon and The Architectural League of New York.
