Mariah Kiersey, a principal at Ankrom Moisan Architects since 2012, has 23 years of experience in health care and community-focused design. She led the design of Central City Concern鈥檚 Blackburn Center, a transformative facility integrating healing, housing and health care services through collaborative planning between ownership, construction and design teams. The project created a flexible, adaptable space responding to evolving community needs.

Kiersey specializes in health care architecture, designing environments that support patients during both celebratory and challenging moments. Her leadership philosophy centers on empowering others through empathy, curiosity and trust while creating spaces for professional growth.

Active in Portland鈥檚 professional community, Kiersey serves on CREW Portland鈥檚 Forecast Committee and participates in mentorship and DEIB programs at Ankrom Moisan. She mentors emerging architects pursuing licensure and volunteers with We Believe in Portland cleanup initiatives. A Portland native, Kiersey also supports Rose Haven and has led sustainability initiatives as Green Team leader at her children鈥檚 school, fostering environmental stewardship in the next generation.
