Courtney Hamilton became executive director of Oregon Tradeswomen in February, bringing more than 10 years of nonprofit management experience and a PhD in behavioral health to her new role. She joined Oregon Tradeswomen last year, redeveloping systems and processes to improve the Pathways to Success program and its outcomes.

Hamilton鈥檚 previous work involved serving women experiencing homelessness and re-entering society after incarceration. Over her career, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to creating and sustaining healthy work environments and providing the support necessary to help women transform their lives for the better.

鈥淲e stand committed to our legacy of providing training, mentorship and advocacy for women in the trades, while also developing a highly skilled workforce that continues to build communities across our state,鈥� Hamilton said.

Oregon Tradeswomen is building on its 35-year history of delivering programs and services that create pathways for women to enter and succeed in high-wage careers in the trades, and foster an environment where they can thrive. These include working with the Safe From Hate Alliance and hosting its annual career fair.

Andrew Hoan serves as president of the Portland Metro Chamber, where he has spent 13 years advancing regional economic development. Throughout his career, Hoan has focused on building organizational capacity through strategic leadership and team development. As president, he oversees initiatives dedicated to strengthening the regional economy for current and future generations.

Hoan has cultivated a collaborative culture among staff and board members across Portland Business Alliance affiliates, emphasizing strategic vision and organizational effectiveness. His leadership approach prioritizes creating environments that maximize team performance and mission impact.

Beyond his chamber work, Hoan maintains extensive community involvement. He serves with the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, Black Business Association of Oregon, Cascadia Innovation Corridor, Greater Portland Inc., Oregon Business & Industry, Portland Economic Investment Corporation, Sport Oregon, and Travel Portland. His professional focus centers on ensuring economic opportunities remain accessible throughout the Portland metropolitan region.

Laurie Kendall leads the Pacific Northwest chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. She has spent two decades advancing workforce development in the construction industry. In 2015, she launched the ABC chapter鈥檚 Craft Championships, an initiative designed to introduce high school students to construction careers and apprenticeship opportunities. The program has grown significantly, attracting more than 1,000 high school students last year to explore pathways in the trades.

Throughout her 20-year tenure with ABC, Kendall has focused on developing future leaders for the organization鈥檚 membership and the broader construction industry. She holds credentials as an NCCER master trainer and contributes her expertise to multiple industry organizations. Kendall serves on the SkillsUSA advisory board and works with VitalCog Suicide Prevention, demonstrating her commitment to workforce development and worker well-being. Her professional focus is on connecting young people with construction careers while building leadership capacity within the industry.

Rosa Martinez, owner of PMG Abatement and Demo Contractor and founder of LatinoBuilt, has dedicated more than 20 years to advancing opportunities in Oregon鈥檚 construction industry. LatinoBuilt, the first Latino-founded and Latino-led construction trade association in Oregon, has become a platform for empowerment, advocacy and capacity building for Latino-owned businesses.

Throughout her career in hazardous materials construction, Martinez has served on multiple industry nonprofit boards, including the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Associated General Contractors, National Association of Minority Contractors-Oregon and Construction Contractors Board, where she advocated for minority-owned businesses and helped shape programs supporting small contractors.

Martinez has centered her leadership philosophy on service and creating opportunities while removing barriers for others. As a business owner navigating a predominantly white male industry, she built credibility through networking and relationship-building while raising children, often as the only Latina present. Her work has influenced contracting opportunities and created community support systems, establishing LatinoBuilt as a recognized force that highlights Latino contractors鈥� contributions across the industry.

Nate McCoy, president and CEO of NAMC-Oregon, has built the organization into a respected advocate for minority contractors throughout the region. Under his leadership, NAMC-Oregon has expanded membership while creating opportunities for businesses led by people of color to participate in large-scale construction projects.

McCoy has played a key role in influencing policy and encouraging agencies and prime contractors to adopt more inclusive contracting practices. His work has opened doors for underrepresented firms, helping businesses thrive and reinvest in their communities.

He serves with the Black Business Association of Oregon, Architecture Foundation of Oregon, Portland Metro Chamber, and the Strengthening Our Communities Coalition. McCoy is also a member of regional workforce and policy committees, ensuring diverse contractors have input in shaping industry standards.

鈥淚 believe true leadership is about lifting others up, creating access where it hasn鈥檛 existed, and making sure voices from our communities are heard and valued,鈥� McCoy said. He remains motivated by knowing his organization鈥檚 work directly impacts livelihoods and builds generational opportunities for underrepresented communities.

Todd Mustard, executive manager of the National Electrical Contractors Association鈥檚 Oregon-Columbia chapter, has dedicated over two decades to advancing the construction industry through strategic leadership and collaborative initiatives. After beginning his career in 2003 with The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC), Mustard spent 20 years developing expertise in union construction advocacy before joining NECA in May 2023.

Among his significant contributions, Mustard helped initiate and coordinate the Emergency Regional Mental Health Summit, a groundbreaking event jointly hosted by NECA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. The summit united contractors, labor leaders, subject-matter experts, and community partners to address mental health and suicide prevention in the construction industry. Mustard facilitated collaboration between organizations, shaped the summit agenda, and ensured discussions focused on actionable resources and best practices.

Currently, Mustard serves on the board of the business and union labor leaders session and United for Portland. He also serves as trustee for several Taft-Hartley Trusts providing health, welfare, and defined benefits to industry workers.
