Nate McCoy, president and CEO of NAMC-Oregon, has built the organization into a respected advocate for minority contractors throughout the region. Under his leadership, NAMC-Oregon has expanded membership while creating opportunities for businesses led by people of color to participate in large-scale construction projects.

McCoy has played a key role in influencing policy and encouraging agencies and prime contractors to adopt more inclusive contracting practices. His work has opened doors for underrepresented firms, helping businesses thrive and reinvest in their communities.

He serves with the Black Business Association of Oregon, Architecture Foundation of Oregon, Portland Metro Chamber, and the Strengthening Our Communities Coalition. McCoy is also a member of regional workforce and policy committees, ensuring diverse contractors have input in shaping industry standards.

鈥淚 believe true leadership is about lifting others up, creating access where it hasn鈥檛 existed, and making sure voices from our communities are heard and valued,鈥 McCoy said. He remains motivated by knowing his organization鈥檚 work directly impacts livelihoods and builds generational opportunities for underrepresented communities.
